Game assignment policy:  All assignments will be made and/or adjusted by the Referee Coordinator.  Whenever possible, officials will be assigned as a crew.  Please help with notification by calling and confirming assignments with crewmembers.  In the event of inability to work the assigned game(s), notify the Referee Coordinator 24 hours prior to the assigned game.  Arrive at the game site at least 15 minutes before scheduled game time (30 minutes for game one of the day).

Minimum Uniform Requirements:  Cap (black baseball style); Shirt (black/white stripe); White pants (Shorts, if all crew members dress alike); Whistle with lanyard; Down indicator; Penalty flag (yellow with weight); Bean bag.   (President’s note: I encourage new officials to acquire their own gear – we have some very good sources for package deals at good prices – then I will reimbursement these new officials $50 of the cost after they have worked at least 16 games – keep receipts).   Optional Equipment: Shoes (black)

The best presentation of an officiating crew is a uniform professional looking dress: cap with bill forward, shirt tucked in, pants style and color similar.  Look like an official.

There will be a Field Manager at each field to help you with our rules and to help manage the sidelines.  The Senior Official in each crew shall confirm by email the crew member working for each game worked at the Field on Saturday.

Payment will be by check at the end of the season (late November).  A mid season payment is possible, you must email your request for the mid season payment to the Referee Coordinator by Sept. 15.

If you have any problems at a field or there is an ejection of a player or coach, notify the GEJFA Referee Coordinator and the Senior Vice President on the day of the game and follow up with a written report emailed after the game.
